I really want to thank everyone this year for supporting us around the country. Lisa Ballard has been a huge help in all we have done. It's been a huge honor to join the staff at Rally TV and Cycle Source Magazine . This year has been amazing at Garage71 and I would like to that Brian, Andy and Eric for their support..
We have taken Cathy's Help from coast to coast and made huge strides, attaining most of our goals. We have had a huge year and can't wait to see what 2012 will bring for us with Cathy's Help and Muttin Cycles. We have several new bikes to bring to Daytona and a lot of ideas for Cathy's Help to raise even more attention this year. From our first year to last year we grew over 800% that's a huge leap. I hope we can grow that much again.

Thanks for all the support and we'll see you somewhere soon.

Raisin' Money for Mikie Webb

As y'all may know, on December 17th, Mikie Webb's brakes went out on his motorbike and he ended up going through a red light and was t-boned, breaking one of his legs in two places and suffering a pretty gnarly gash in the other. His left wrist is possibly broken too, but he's fairing pretty well otherwise.
He's had surgery on his broken leg and the other's been all sewn up.He's going to be in the hospital for a few days and we want to help raise some money for him.
We know it's the holidays and we're all struggling but anything will help!

So I have been missing shop time over the last month or so. Well things are changing as we speak, finally getting the hours needed to start building my winter dreams. This is a bike for a customer and he digs our flavor. I guess I haven't lost the touch yet.
That's 12 inches to the motor and 13 to the peg. Yea Warren you got me by a inch but I'm a rookie. Riding high at 8'10" long,12" to the motor mount. That tank we showed a week or so ago is going on this beauty. Too bad I'm not a Haints or this bike would be cool.

I really want to thank everyone for coming out Sunday night. We had a fantastic time! The patrons of the B's Bistro were absolutely amazing and we were able to raise over 800 dollars, which puts us at $8900.39 . This was a huge night for the foundation and it was beyond belief to raise that much money in one night. I really appreciate the time that I was given to speak to the crowd. There were several customers that were very uplifting and supportive of what we are trying to do with our foundation. It's hard to describe how great their contributions was and is. So its taken me a little while to get to creating a post for Vegas. But I'm just now getting my head right from what all went on that week. As you can see from the Rally Tv videos there was a lot to do out there. So we went to Hoover damn , then Artistry and Iron show, the Limpnickie Lot. I got married hit the strip a few times lost like eleven dollars gambling. Big spender I must say. The Hogs and Heifiers bar was out of control all week. I have to thank Lisa Ballard, Chris Callen, Sara Liberte , Rally Tv and all the Limpnickie crew for supporting me. It was a huge honor to to be in Vegas with everyone. I can't wait till next year.God only knows what's next for us.

Vegas bike fest

So haven't had a lot of time yet to post updates so here's the run down. We mad a run out to Hoover damn yesterday. I threw a rock of the bridge just like a good little country boy. Went down to the artistry and iron show and did some really good interviews. I interviewed the winner this year from la speed shop Chris Richardson. He had a really bitchen knucklehead in the show. Its been a great time here in old town Las Vegas.

I am stoked! Chris called and I will be heading to Vegas to help with Cycle Source, Rally TV and of course, Cathy’s Help during Las Vegas Bike Fest. We will be setting up @ the Limpnickie Lot, my home away from home. I will be also meeting with Lisa Ballard, hopefully we can tie down some sponsorship for Cathy’s. This is the first time we will be together since Daytona two years ago. It blows my mind on how far the foundation has come but we know there is a lot more work ahead of us!!!

Sorry I haven't made any post about our trip to Sturgis. But I have been thinking about the trip and collecting my thaughts to share with all of you followers out there. We had a epic journey in the west full of laughs and good times. The ladies we took was delightfully to travel with and great for conversation. This is the first pic of many that we took. This is the arch in St Louis. Once you pass this land mark you are starting to reach the west. I really don't like going through this town but I really enjoy seeing this arch. We made it here morning of the second day of our journey.

I had a phone call yesterday with a dear friend. As I am not the smartest man on the internet I learned something new! Google alerts. It seems that this is way to monitor the internet. You set a word to watch like cyclesource. If somebody has a Google alert on that word. It sends them a message that john do just used your name. Scary right. So in hindsight remember that everyone is watching you and that some people are really smart and pay people to watch these alerts. It could cost us all in the long. So next time you decide to incriminate your self in a mindless tyrant about somebody or some place they maybe watching you.

We’re looking for some killer bikes to haul away some great prizes along with hand made trophies from Kevin “Teach” Baas. What are those prizes you ask? Well, an Evil Primary for the Best Bobber of the show, a Legend Air Suspension for the Best Burly Bagger of the show and for the best overall winner, a complete Sucker Punch Sally rolling chassis and a full feature in Cycle Source Magazine. The show will be held in the Limpnickie Lot at the West Gate of the World Famous Buffalo Chip and there is no cost to enter or to show a bike. The lot will be open until 8pm at which time we will all head inside for Limpnickie Night. There, we are gonna’ tear it up to the sounds of Tesla, Saving Able and headliner Puddle Of Mudd.

Leaving The Buffalo Chip At Noon – Tuesday August 9th

For the fifth year in a row, the Cycle Source Magazine will be holding their annual “Run Through The Black Hills” for readers attending this years Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Anyone who loves the Black Hills as much as these cats needs to make sure they are in line by noon on Tuesday August 9^th at the West Gate of the Buffalo Chip for a ride you will not forget. Leaving the Chip the run will head right through the town of Sturgis then out Vanocker Canyon to the famous Nemo Guest Ranch. At the ranch, guests of the ride will be treated to a picnic style lunch before heading back to the Buffalo Chip for the remaining festivities of the day.

One goal for Cathy’s Help Foundation is to be able to grant wishes for women in need. One wish will be followed through while we travel to Sturgis in the beginning of August. I met a lovely lady named Barbara that heard about me going cross country on the bike to raise awareness for the foundation. After spending time with her, I found out that she is battling the disease and always wanted to make the journey herself. Right away I knew she would become my riding partner for the trip.

I am sad to report that there are ongoing electrical issues with the tribute bike that can’t be resolved before the trip so we had to turn to plan B. I made a few calls and will be driving cross country in the Nash Motorcycle Bus with my family and Barbara with the bikes in tow. We will still go around and see the sites but will get there in style!

I would like to thank Taber and his family for this AWESOME opportunity and support for our foundation!

Sorry it has taken a few days for me to post a thank you . I just needed to relax for a little while after the show, it was a lot of pressure. First off , I would like to thank everyone that came out and showed us support and help raise over 4000 dollars in one day .This was a huge event thank you so much for caring .We all need to thank Andy Wood, Josh Hall , Lisa Ballard, Wesley Ashley, The Big Wheel Bitches and Hate City Customs, Jason Stowe , Jeff Watts, Eric Trenary , Brian from Garage71 , Jeremy from Southern Style Customs and his crew, Mailman and Pauly . Without all of these people we wouldn't be where we are today.

We have the created a great thing for people in need and all of these people believe in us.We had a unbelievable turn out and everything went smooth .

We have some really great things coming up so keep watching what we are going to do !

It is awesome when good things happen!!!! Recently I asked for some local bands to step up and donate their time and talent for the crowd. Well we hit the mother load and have not one but three different bands to entertain you all.

The bands will start around three in the Whistle Post Tavern so do us a favor and help us welcome the following;

Beauregard Higgins is a singer/song writer from Atlanta, Ga. A blend of smooth, soulful island style reggae and indie/folk. Beautiful, Strong vocals with refreshing lyrics. Nothing but heart.

We also have Southern Rock and Mischief that will be belting out bluegrass, rockabilly and hometown southern rock!

Lo Country will also be preforming

Don't be thrown by the name, Lo Country plays rock 'n roll. Although country is definitely an influence, the band is also inspired by punk, metal, blues, reggae, and classic rock. Formed by singer/guitarist Brian "Bronco" Iler in 2007, Lo Country began playing gigs around Atlanta in 2008 as a three piece with "Big Peter" Bowers playing bass and William Allmon on drums. After many successful gigs in and around Atlanta, our heroes decided to improve on their unique sound.

The shop is busy and with the full time job, time seems to be getting the best of me. So I have decided to shut everything down and go for a ride. Nicole and I are packing up the bike and heading to the Smoke Out for some much needed R&R. I can’t wait to see my LOT family but more importantly, I cant wait to spend some quality time with Nicole. The last few months have flew by.

Ok so a little about the trip. the picture at the the end will sum it all up for you that didn't make it out .We wound up leaving Atlanta with over twenty bikes . It was a 180 mile trip for most of us so should have been easy . But we had a few problems . It was a thing of beauty to see nothing but headlights behind you for half a mile . The list of things that slowed the party down ..one broke throttle cable ,one lost tag and tail light on I20 if you find it return it to me ill get it to the owner . one carb adjustment one triumph lost oil pressure one broke ground wire .one xs650 burned to the ground . Drank one half gallon of sailor jerry one punch to the face not me . one chick trowing up on the street . white boy in a chair being carried . doing some kind of haint's ritual to heavy metal and two kegs of Pabst gone in a hour once we got to the bar .Wow what a day .

I have taken a few days to collect my thoughts on this weekends show. So i figured its time to let them out for everyone to read . I first and foremost have to thank my wife and soul mate for supporting me and keeping us strong in this cause we have started. I have truly learned that i have a tremendous family of support and people to keep me moving .With out the help of all the people at the show I would loose this drive .Lisa Ballard, Mail man , Nathan, Brian Jackson ,Brian Whitcomb, Eric tereny , Jeremy Harp, Jessica Harp,Baily Harp, Iris Harp, Libby , Chewy , Tom Elder , Hairbrain, Seth and Jessica Sudderth, Jacob, Baby james , and all the other family we gain this weekend . You guys give me the lift i need everyday to move forward with this movement and cause . Every day we grow stronger and stronger . The show had a tremendous turn out and was great for the foundation and spreading the word on what we as a family are doing . I sit with goose bumbs pouring my soul and thinking out to the world . The thought of us doing something greater than we are scares me and excites me all the same . The image of tattooed and not so clean bikers doing a greater cause than fixing a bike or scaring people on the road thrills me to my toes and light my eyes . I had a dear friend come and see me Saturday and we had a conversation she said , ( Your mom was just like my mom i miss her every day . I feel like she raised me all the same as you and your sister. I am so proud of you and your mom has to be so proud of you . I'm sure she smiles on you everyday .) As tears flow from my eyes its hard to gain composer to continue this post . My mother had a smile that was unforgetable and laugh that was contagous . I was not a perfect child and caused a lot of grief for my family . I think back to all the pain i caused and hell i raised . Gaining nothing in the end of all the crap i caused and loosing my mother without knowing she was proud of me hurts everyday . Thinking that i have made my mother happy and proud of me sends me to my knees crying and asking for one more day, one more laugh, one more smile id trade it all just for one . To all the people who see me . I am not strong, i am not stable With all of your lift i gain and the spirit i recieve continues to make me stronger . . I can't continue as the tears wont stop. Thank you my Cathy's Help family

Cathy's Help vice president

Due to countless efforts and dependability, my wife and I discussed the addition of a very important person to our foundation , Lisa Ballard is now the vice president of Cathy's Help. Lisa has went above and beyond what would be asked of a friend or family member. She has logged countless hours of work trying to spread the word on what we are doing with this foundation and has never asked for anything . We are only able to do so much ourselves. Meeting Mrs Ballard in 2010 on the Limpnickie Lot she told me that she wanted to help me with what ever we were doing with the Breast Cancer bike I built. Little did I know that she would take the reins and run anything that was needed. She has the ability to reach out and talk to people that I myself would never have the chance or the skill to do so. Lisa has made a tremendous impact on our lives personally and a great addition to Cathy's Help. My wife and I want to thank Mrs Ballard for all of her help and passion she has devoted .

Soon as i get pictures from the last photo shoot of the bike i will post them.I'm going to fallow in the great Arlen ness and rebuild the same bike . You don't have to build a new bike every year just rebuild the one you have .
